The 2021- 2022 school year will be my sixth year as the Director of Instructional Technology and Curriculum for Canadian ISD.
My career in public education has spanned seventeen years and includes stops in Texline ISD (4-6 Language Arts 1999-02), Canadian ISD (Baker Elementary 5th Math and Science 2002-05), and Amarillo ISD (Windsor Elementary 3rd Math 2005-06, Sanborn Elementary Curriculum Specialist 2006-07 and Assistant Principal 2007-10, South Georgia Elementary Principal 2010-12, and Forest Hill Elementary Principal 2012-16). My experiences in different school settings have reinforced my belief that the classroom teacher is the critical factor in student learning. To that end, I am committed to providing our teachers with the tools, training, and support they need as they strive to meet the learning needs of our children. Learners must be able to communicate, collaborate, create and think critically in a fast paced digital environment. My goal is to support our CISD staff in meeting the needs listed above for all of our learners.
I am proud to be a native of this area, having graduated from Miami High School (1994) and attaining both my B.S. in Education (1999) and M.Ed. in Educational Administration (2010) from WTAMU. A life-long learner, I have also completed two summer sessions at the Harvard Graduate School Summer Institute through the Raise Your Hand Texas leadership program. My most current educational adventure, included adding my superintendent certificate to my credentials.
Away from school, I enjoy movies, reading, running, mountain biking and spending time with my family. My husband, Dr. Lynn Pulliam, is the current Canadian ISD Superintendent. We have two children, Stephen and Clara, and two 4 legged children, Hobbes (poodle) and Maple (Goldendoodle).
