Mrs. Baird's Teacher on the Rise

How the Program Works

Every month, beginning in late September through late May, we will select three winners-one in elementary, one in middle school/junior high, and one in high school. These winners can come from any school district in the area-even private schools. We then plan surprise presentations for the winning teachers and students. We try to make these presentations as big as possible from an all-school assembly, to a part of a pep rally, to even halftime at a high school football game!

Teachers On The Rise winners receive great prizes including a $100 United Supermarkets Shopping Spree, a $100 gift certificate to Coulter Gardens and Nursery, and a great prize from the Texas Classroom Teachers Association. To encourage students to enter their teachers, we give each student who nominates a winning teacher a $50 VISA card.
