This position will spend some periods of the school day in the resource classroom actively teaching, and possibly some periods in an inclusion setting, assisting students in the regular classroom. In addition, the resource classroom serves as an informal content mastery room during part of the school day, with assistance from an instructional aide. Prefer highly qualified status in all four core content areas (including reading), plus ESL certification.
Canadian High School is a small AA campus, with a current enrollment of approximately 200 students. The campus has had exceptional extra-curricular success over the past decade. This success includes two football state championships, one track state championship, 3 consecutive district and regional UIL academic championships, 33 band sweepstakes awards, state marching band appearances in three of the past five cycles, along with numerous individual state championships in many different activities. Our faculty is cohesive, collaborative, dedicated, and hard-working – never totally content with our accomplishments and always striving to improve.
